CONFERENCES FOR NFL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES “CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY” BEGINS AT 1:30 PM ET ON JANUARY 21 This Friday, January 21, NFL Network will televise all four press conferences live with the participating teams of the AFC and NFC Championships in an afternoon being billed as “Championship Friday.” Fans and media will be able to watch as the head coaches, and other key players step to the podium to answer questions from both local and national media as they prepare for their biggest game of the season.
The telecast schedule is as follows: 2:30 PM ET – Philadelphia Eagles (live from Philadelphia Marriott Downtown) 3:30 PM ET – Pittsburgh Steelers (live from Omni William Penn Hotel) 5:00 PM ET – Atlanta Falcons (live from Falcons’ Headquarters) Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, who are the host teams for this year’s Championship games, will attend their press conference at the official NFL headquarters hotel in their city. NFL Network will be available in all rooms of the host city’s official NFL hotel. New England and Atlanta, who are the visiting teams, will host press conferences from their team facility. NFL Network will also serve as the source for television and radio stations around the country to pull down the press conferences for use in their local newscasts. By either tapping into NFL Network’s signal on DirecTV channel 212 or by a separate satellite feed (coordinates to be announced Wednesday), stations will have standard news rights usage for this content. NFL Network airs seven days a week, 24 hours a day on a year-round basis and is the first television network fully dedicated to the NFL and the sport of football.
