INSIGHT COMMUNICATIONS TO LAUNCH NFL NETWORK

COUNTRY'S NINTH-LARGEST CABLE OPERATOR
PUSHES NFL NETWORK DISTRIBUTION ABOVE 20 MILLION

NEW YORK -- March 11, 2004 - NFL Network, the four-month-old cable and satellite channel dedicated to the National Football League and the sport of professional football, and Insight Communications Company (Nasdaq: ICCI), the nation’s ninth largest multiple-system operator (MSO), have reached a carriage agreement.

Insight becomes the second top-ten cable operator this year to launch NFL Network, following Charter Communications, which began carrying the 24-hour, year round service last month.

Insight, which serves 1.4 million customers in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, will begin a digital rollout of NFL Network this summer.

As part of the agreement, NFL Network will provide Insight with a separate high definition (HD) simulcast feed of the channel beginning with the 2004 NFL season, and a customized video-on-demand (VOD) package that includes access to the Emmy-award-winning NFL Films library, and extended highlights of each NFL regular-season game.

NFL Network, honored with three Sports Emmy® nominations last week, has now reached significant distribution deals with Insight, Charter, DirecTV and Voom, pushing its available reach to more than 20 million U.S. homes.

NFL Network gives millions of fans of America’s most popular sport a network to call their own.  NFL Network takes 84 years of NFL history and wraps it around the latest technology to bring television viewers sports entertainment at its highest level.  To learn more, log onto NFL.com.
