NFL NETWORK ADDS ART MÁRQUEZ AS VP-AFFILIATE SALES
& TOM BRADY AS MANAGER OF PROGRAM SCHEDULING

Arturo Márquez has been named Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Tom Brady has been tabbed as Manager of Program Scheduling for NFL Network, the new NFL television programming service launching this fall.  The announcement came today from NFL Network headquarters in New York.

Marquez and Brady are the latest additions to the formidable staff NFL Network is building as it prepares for its November 4 launch.

Marquez will report to Adam Shaw, Senior Vice President of Distribution, and help establish and manage carriage agreements with cable and satellite operators in the United States.  NFL Network currently has a carriage agreement with DIRECTV’s basic service that is seen in more than 11.5 million homes.

NFL Network has already established itself as the most widely distributed sports network at launch in the history of cable and satellite television.

Marquez, 39, is the former Vice President of Affiliate Sales for NBC Cable Networks.  His responsibilities at NBC Cable Networks included overseeing sales, marketing, and local ad sales promotion for the Eastern sales region.  Marquez also negotiated master deals that covered satellite networks and retransmission consent for local broadcasters.  He was a member of the negotiating team that closed the deal to get Time Warner to launch CNBC World.

Brady, 26, will report to Charles Coplin, Vice President of Programming, and be responsible for coordination of NFL Network’s programming schedule.  Brady joins NFL Network from Publicis (formerly D’Arcy Advertising), where he was a Senior Account Manager & Global Coordinator.  Brady managed accounts for clients including:  Proctor & Gamble, Ernst & Young, and the United Way of New York.

Brady (no relation to the New England Patriots quarterback) is a graduate of Duke University, where he played wide receiver.

NFL Network will air seven days a week, 24 hours a day on a year-round basis and will be the first television network fully dedicated to the NFL and the sport of football.
