How They Were Built Beginning Tuesday, April 6 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, NFL Network premieres How They Were Built, an eight part-series that explains how each team constructed its current roster. The show will review team drafts, trades, free-agent acquisitions and coaching changes over the past decade. Each one-hour episode will focus on a single division and explore how personnel moves made and not made have contributed to a team's current state, and in some cases, how its current roster composition may affect draft-day decisions. How They Were Built features interviews with NFL analysts including draft expert Mike Mayock, pro football writer Peter King as well as general managers Rich McKay (Atlanta Falcons) and Charley Casserly (Houston Texans). The shows will air Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29. Both shows air at 8:00 PM ET/PT. *************************************************************************************************************************************** These programs will supplement NFL Network’s previously announced new weekly series NFL Replay and In Their Own Words. NFL Replay is a two-hour re-air of a classic regular-season NFL game complete with original network footage, graphics and play-by-play commentary airing Monday’s at 8:00 PM ET/PT beginning April 5. In Their Own Words is a 20-episode series of rare interviews, archival action footage and exclusive sound captured on the field, on the sidelines and in the locker room. Each subject tells the story in his own words, without the use of a host or narration. The show airs Tuesday’s at 9 PM ET/PT beginning April 6. Additionally, one of NFL Network’s most popular series, Game of the Week will be expanded. Debuting last season, GOTW featured a 60-minute condensed version of one of Sunday’s most interesting games, airing just days after its original broadcast. Now, classic regular-season and playoff games from seasons past will be featured on Game of the Week during the spring and summer. The format remains the same, taking fans inside a game by highlighting key plays, outstanding performances and showing how fourth quarter plays were set up by what happened earlier in the game. All footage is from the NFL Films archives. Game of the Week airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 PM ET/PT beginning April 7. The first two installments are the Colts/Dolphins overtime 2000 AFC Wild Card Playoff Game and the thrilling Giants/49ers 2002 NFC Wild Card Playoff Game. NFL Network is carried on DIRECTV's basic service that is seen in more than 12.2 million homes on Channel 212, and is also available on Voom's satellite service on Channel 312 as well as on cable via Charter Communications and Insight Communications.
