NBC WEST COAST CFO KIMBERLY WILLIAMS JOINS NFL;
HIRED AS SR. VP OF FINANCE FOR NFL MEDIA

Kimberly Williams, NBC West Coast Chief Financial Officer, has been named Senior Vice President of Finance for the NFL’s Media Division, which includes NFL Network, the new NFL television programming service launching this fall.

In her new role, Williams will be responsible for all financial facets of NFL Network operations and the entire NFL Media division, including NFL Films, the NFL Broadcasting Department, and the NFL Internet Network. 

The announcement was made today by Steve Bornstein, President and CEO of NFL Network.  “We’re delighted to add such a highly respected and talented executive to our staff,” said Bornstein.  “Kim understands the financial aspects of this business as well as anyone and she will provide us with the wherewithal to navigate this fast-changing industry.”

Williams most recently served as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for NBC West Coast, where she reported to NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker.  In that role, Williams worked at NBC’s Burbank, Calif., offices and was responsible for all financial aspects of NBC West Coast operations, including NBC’s Entertainment, Studios & Enterprises divisions.   Williams will relocate from Los Angeles to New York for the position and report to Bornstein.

Prior to her time on the West Coast, Williams worked in New York as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for NBC Business Development.  In this capacity, Williams oversaw activities including acquisition/divestiture analyses, investment portfolio management, and derivative/hedging strategies.

In all, Williams has spent the past decade with General Electric (GE) owned companies, including stays at Nuovo Pignone (GE Power Systems) in Florence, Italy, and GE International/Power Controls/GE Capital in London, England.

Williams holds a BA degree from Connecticut College in Japanese and Asian studies.   She also has a masters degree in international business administration from the American Graduate School of International Management.

NFL Network currently has a carriage agreement with DIRECTV’s basic service that is seen in 11.4 million homes.  NFL Network will air seven days a week, 24 hours a day on a year-round basis and will be the first television network fully dedicated to the NFL and the sport of football when launched in the fall.
