NFL UNDER THE HELMET CAPTURES CRIS CARTER’S RECORD CATCH AND HOSTS NOTED RAP ARTIST WARREN G. LIVE IN THE STUDIO; TONY SIRAGUSA, GIANTS-JETS RIVALRY AND DERRICK BROOKS ALSO FEATURED

New York, November 30, 1999 – Ever wonder what a future Pro Football Hall of Famer says in the huddle or after grabbing his 900th career catch. Fans will have the chance, if they watch the next installment of NFL Under the Helmet this Saturday on FOX (noon eastern).

NFL Films miked Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cris Carter this past Sunday in their game against the San Diego Chargers. In the game, Carter became only the fourth player in history to grab 900 passes and viewers can share this moment and hear how he and Moss switched routes in the huddle before Moss’ second quarter touchdown catch.

Viewers also learn how Baltimore Raven Tony Siragusa was known as "Little Goose" in his Kenilworth, NJ hometown. Siragusa is featured in the shows "Back in the Day" segment. The Under the Helmet crew interview the lineman’s mom ("Mother Goose") and older brother ("Big Goose"), who describe Siragusa’s coming of age as a football player.

Other football features include a look at the New York Giants and New York Jets rivalry prior to the two Gotham teams squaring off on the field on Sunday December 5. The spot goes behind the scenes of the rivalry courtesy of Nike’s humorous new campaign that features Giants defenders Michael Strahan, Jason Sehorn, Jessie Armstead and the Jets Wayne Chrebet and Ray Lucas. Also an NFL Films crew followed Derrick Brooks and his "Brooks Bunch" on a field trip to Washington, D.C.

This week’s musical number will be noted rapper Warren G. performing his new hit "I Want it All." The song is from the album of the same name, his first for his new label Restless Records. Highlights from Deion Sanders season will be cut to the song as it is performed live on the NFL Under the Helmet set.

Warren G. is the latest hot musician to perform on the Under the Helmet set. Previous performers included Creed, Eve, Lit and Our Lady Peace. Upcoming performances will include Everlast, Collective Soul and the Goo-Goo Dolls.

NFL Under the Helmet airs every Saturday at noon eastern on FOX-TV. The show is hosted by Ron Pitts and Jill Arrington.
