BULL MARKET FOR JETS AND GIANTS

New York Giants Phillippi Sparks, Tyrone Wheatley and Rodney Hampton and New York Jets President Steve Gutman raised their respective team flags over Wall Street at noon today courtesy of the Bowling Green Association and the City of New York. The flags were raised directly behind the famous "Charging Bull" statue at the tip of lower Manhattan. The Bull’s nose is traditionally rubbed by Wall Streeters for luck.

Before a lunchtime crowd of more than 200 football fans, several of whom chanted the J-E-T-S cheer, the Jets won the coin toss and had their flag raised first. The Giants’ flag was then raised. Both flags will remain flying high as long as each team is in the race for the Super Bowl.
