Program Provides Free
Flag Football Leagues For Detroits Inner-City Children
WHAT: | The National Football League and the Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL) are seeking adult volunteers to coach Detroit flag football teams this fall for boys and girls ages 6 - 14. The new leagues are part of the NFLs C.I.T.Y. (Challenge and Inspire Todays Youth) Football program which provides free recreational opportunities for inner-city children. | |
Volunteers would be required to coach their teams during weekly practices and games. No prior coaching experience is necessary. | ||
Adults interested in volunteering to coach local C.I.T.Y. Football teams should call the Detroit PAL at (313) 596-1751. | ||
C.I.T.Y. Football is part of the NFLs "Play Football" program which provides exciting new ways for children to play, watch and experience the game of football. | ||
