FLAG FOOTBALL DAY CAMPS FOR 800 LOCAL INNER-CITY CHILDREN

NFL C.I.T.Y. Football Summer Camps To Teach
Boys and Girls Basic Football Skills

WHAT: More than 800 New Orleans inner-city boys and girls ages 6-14 have been selected and will participate in the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS NFL C.I.T.Y. (Challenge and Inspire Today’s Youth) Football Summer Day Camps. The week-long camps will be led by local high school coaches and volunteers who will teach non-contact football skills to camp participants.
  The New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD) will oversee all local C.I.T.Y. Football programs, and former New Orleans Saints All-Pro Linebacker, RICKEY JACKSON, will serve as the Saints’ spokesperson.
  NFL C.I.T.Y. Football was launched in New Orleans in January 1997 during SUPER BOWL XXXI week. C.I.T.Y. Football provides innovative ways for inner-city children to play, watch and experience the game of football at no cost.
