fX WORLD LEAGUE AUDIO FEEDS
TO BE FEATURED
ON OFFICIAL INTERNET SITE
New York, NY (April 26, 1996) - - Fans now will be able to hear World League action - - in cyberspace - - with the addition of live audio feeds from fXs game broadcasts to be featured on the official Internet site of the World League (http://worldleague.com), NFL Enterprises announced today.
According to Ann Kirschner, vice president of NFL Interactive, producers of worldleague.com, the site will feature fXs live audio from one World League game every week throughout the season starting this Sunday, April 28, with the Amsterdam Admirals - Scottish Claymores matchup (broadcast begins at 10:00 AM EDT). Fans can access the audio feed at the World League site as well as through AudioNets site (http://www.audionet.com).
"We are thrilled to be able to utilize the Internet to reach World League fans literally around the world," said World League President Oliver Luck. "With the addition of live audio from the broadcast booth, the fans will be able to get that much closer to all of the action."
fX is the basic cable network owned by FOX, the NFLs joint venture partner in the World League. This season, fX will broadcast 21 complete games to the United States, including at least 16 and as many as 18 live to the Eastern time zone. fX World League games, plus the league championship World Bowl which will air on FOX in June, are produced by FOX Sports.
The Worldleague.com site, launched with the kickoff of the season in mid-April, features in-depth information including game previews and recaps, individual player profiles, scores, chat, stats and the latest and up-to-the minute news stories from around the league. Fans also can access individual team areas on the site, which includes information on each of the leagues six teams, portions of which are also available in their native language.
