As part of its program to support youth football, the NFL has launched a new web site nflhs.com devoted to the high school game.
The site is designed to serve as a resource on all aspects of high school football for players, coaches, officials, parents and fans.
"The overwhelming majority of NFL players have at least one thing in common," says NFL Commissioner PAUL TAGLIABUE, "and that is a love of football that goes back to their high school days.
"We recognize that the Internet is a key way to reach todays generation of high school players and coaches, and we hope nflhs.com helps everyone associated with the high school game enjoy it even more."
The site includes the following sections:
Coaches Corner
News & Notes
Players Corner
Officials Corner
Other parts of the site include information on college football eligibility requirements, football safety and health, and other aspects of high school football, such as cheerleading and band.
Nflhs.com is funded by the NFL Youth Football Fund, which was created in 1998 by the NFL and the NFL Players Association to support youth football initiatives.
