BOB TRUMPY, JIM FASSEL AND GIL BRANDT PROVIDE LIVE COMMENTARY OF SUPER BOWL XXXII ON WEB
San Diego - - When NFL on NBC analyst Bob Trumpy completes his pregame Super Bowl XXXII coverage for TV viewers on Sunday, he will head to the superbowl.com booth in Qualcomm Stadium to cover the game for fans in cyberspace. Trumpy will join New York Giants coach Jim Fassel (AP coach of the year) and former Cowboys personnel chief Gil Brandt to provide live game day commentary for the NFLs official Super Bowl Web site created by NFL, NBC and IBM.
On game day, fans can interact with the "cybercast" team; choose their own NBC camera angle (including one in the blimp) to get updated photos from the game; hear live game broadcasts in Japanese, Italian, Russian, German as well as audio of press box announcer; take a virtual tour of Qualcomm Stadium during the game; watch video highlights of game; listen in live to up to 14 different post game interviews at once; and buy championship merchandise at conclusion of game.
Superbowl.com has a production crew of 45 dedicated people covering all of the Super Bowl week activities as well as live game day cybercast.
Last year, superbowl.com received 10.2 million "hits," or approximately 250,000 visitors on game day alone. This season, NFL.com averaged 250-275,000 visitors on Sundays.
