NFL HAS TWO 450-YARD PASSERS IN SINGLE DAY

FOR FIRST TIME IN HISTORY

Quarterbacks TOMMY MADDOX of the Pittsburgh Steelers and MARC BULGER of the St. Louis Rams became the first pair of QBs in NFL history to throw for 450 yards on the same day.

 Maddox completed 28 of 41 passes (68.3 percent) for a club-record 473 yards with four touchdowns and one interception for a 129.4 passer rating in the Steelers’ 34-34 overtime tie with the Atlanta Falcons.

 Bulger had a career day in the Rams’ 28-24 win over the San Diego Chargers, posting a 131.7 passer rating by completing 36 of 48 passes (75.0 percent) for 453 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

 There have now been three 450-yard passing performances this season and 37 in NFL history.
