NFL & PEPSI ANNOUNCE NEW FAN-VOTED ROOKIE OF WEEK AWARD
Fans also to select Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year

Which rookie had the best performance on a given weekend?

Beginning this season, fans will get to vote for the PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK on NFL.com, marking the first weekly NFL honor to be selected solely by NFL fans, the NFL announced today.

Each Tuesday during the regular season, the top rookie performances in the league will be posted on NFL.com.  Fans will then have until Wednesday afternoon to select the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week.  The winner will be announced every Thursday on NFL.com.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors.  Fans will be able to vote for the winner on NFL.com throughout the month of January.  The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XXXVII in San Diego. 

This is Pepsi’s first year as the official soft drink sponsor of the NFL.
