IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: VARIETY OF SELECT BUSINESSES ACCOUNT FOR2003 NFL PRO BOWL PARTNERSNFL and Business All-Stars to Shine Throughout Pro Bowl WeekThe 2003 NFL Pro Bowl features the league’s top performers as well as Hawaii’s top businesses in Honolulu – the NFL’s “33rd city.” A choice list of 35 sponsors, including five day-of-game sponsors, will take part in week-long Pro Bowl festivities, celebrating Hawaii’s “unofficial” sporting holiday. “We are pleased that once again, the Hawaii corporate community has shown outstanding support for the Pro Bowl,” said NFL Commissioner PAUL TAGLIABUE. “The NFL, the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the Pro Bowl Ohana Committee work together as a team to ensure that the week-long and state-wide Pro Bowl celebration is among the best in sports.” In addition to the five day-of-game sponsors, other companies are designated as Pro Bowl Week and Supporting Sponsors. HAWAIIAN AIRLINES, HONOLULU ADVERTISER, PLEASANT HOLIDAYS, MACY’S, and TICKET PLUS are the 2003 NFL Pro Bowl day-of-game sponsors. Day-of-game sponsorship packages include internal and external stadium signage, an ad in the Official 2003 Pro Bowl game program, in-game scoreboard messages, promotional rights, and employee incentive programs. Hawaiian Airlines, a charter Pro Bowl day-of-game sponsor, will conduct local marketing, hospitality and promotional activities during Pro Bowl Week. The Honolulu Advertiser, Hawaii’s largest daily newspaper, is a Pro Bowl week media partner and will run a promotion with the grand-prize an opportunity to play in the official 2003 Pro Bowl Golf Tournament. The NFL partnered with Ticket Plus, an industry leader in ticketing and event management with more than 40 locations in Hawaii, to make tickets more readily available. At Macy’s stores in three NFL markets – Phoenix, San Diego and San Francisco – a “Pro Bowl Open House” event was held. Fans attending each “open house” had the chance to win a trip for two to the Pro Bowl. Macy’s will also have a “meet and greet” session with a Pro Bowl player at their Ala Mona Shopping Center location during Pro Bowl week.
