Kansas City Chiefs KR-PR DANTE HALL and Carolina Panthers PR STEVE SMITH each had two kick-return touchdowns, the first time in NFL history two players accomplished the feat on the same day. Hall, who spent the spring of 2001 with the NFL Europe League’s Scottish Claymores, returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter to give the Chiefs a 7-3 lead over St. Louis. Then, with Kansas City holding a 21-10 advantage in the second quarter, Hall returned a punt 86 yards for a score for a 28-10 lead. Smith scored on punt returns of 61 and 87 yards, helping the Panthers to a 52-31 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. --NFL-- |
