FALCONS’ VICK RUSHES TO RECORD BOOK

Atlanta Falcons quarterback MICHAEL VICK rushed for 173 yards today against the Minnesota Vikings -- the highest single-game rushing total for a quarterback since 1970.

Vick set another record today by rushing for a 17.3 yards-per-carry average, topping Cleveland fullback MARION MOTLEY’s 17.09-yard average (11 carries, 188 yards) against the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 29, 1950.

Vick also rushed for two touchdowns on the day, including the 46-yard overtime game-winner in Atlanta’s 30-24 victory.
