NFL MARKS “MILITARY APPRECIATION MONTH”
AS MIAMI DOLPHINS’ JASON TAYLOR AND ZACH THOMAS

Miami Dolphins’ defensive end JASON TAYLOR and linebacker ZACH THOMAS will travel to Germany to visit United States military men and women on behalf of the USO and the NFL May 15 – 18.

“I am pleased that Zach and Jason will represent the NFL and let the troops know how appreciative and proud we are of them,” said Commissioner PAUL TAGLIABUE, who went on a similar trip with Jerome Bettis and Eddie George last year.

The two Pro-Bowlers will arrive in Frankfurt on Thursday morning and begin a full schedule, which includes:

·      On Thursday, May 15, visiting with troops at Rhein Main Air Force Base.

·      On Friday, they will spend time in the Kaiserslautern military community  (K-Town), including Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.  Landstuhl is where many wounded American service people have received medical attention following Operation Iraqi Freedom.

·      Saturday they will visit the Heidelberg military community

·      Saturday night they will attend the NFL Europe League’s game in Frankfurt, featuring the Amsterdam Admirals vs. Frankfurt Galaxy.

Not only are Taylor and Thomas teammates, they are also brother-in-laws.  Taylor married Thomas’ sister, Katina.
