NFL SATELLITE NEWS SERVICE TO FEATURE SEASON-KICKOFF WASHINGTON, DC FESTIVITIES THIS THURSDAY A special NFL Satellite News Service feed featuring “NFL KICKOFF LIVE FROM THE NATIONAL MALL PRESENTED BY PEPSI VANILLA” will be transmitted this Thursday night, September 4, the NFL announced today. “NFL Kickoff Live,” will be a football and music festival that will salute American military members as part of the Department of Defense’s “Operation Tribute to Freedom” program. Thousands of U.S. military personnel will be at The National Mall. The satellite feed from 9:45-10:15 PM ET will include performances by AEROSMITH, MARY J. BLIGE, GOOD CHARLOTTE, BRITNEY SPEARS and ARETHA FRANKLIN, who will conclude the evening by singing the national anthem. Footage will capture the magnitude of the event and crowd at The National Mall. The 2003 NFL season kicks off on Thursday night at 9:00 PM ET when the New York Jets visit the Washington Redskins.
