IMMEDIATE RELEASE TERRELL OWENS SPECIAL MASTER PROCEEDING SETTLED The Special Master proceeding that the NFL Players Association initiated on behalf of Terrell Owens has been settled, the NFL announced today. The Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Terrell Owens have agreed on the following settlement through the NFL Management Council and the NFL Players Association: · The Baltimore Ravens trade Terrell Owens to the Philadelphia Eagles. · Baltimore receives Philadelphia’s fifth-round selection in the 2004 NFL Draft.

Baltimore’s
second-round choice in the 2004 Draft is returned from San Francisco · San Francisco acquires Philadelphia veteran starting defensive end Brandon Whiting. “We are pleased that all the parties involved were willing to compromise and come to a reasonable settlement of a complicated situation,” NFL Executive Vice President of Labor Relations Harold Henderson said. “This settlement resolves the dispute in a manner which satisfies all involved parties.” The Special Master is authorized in the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement to resolve disputes involving the NFL free agency/salary cap system. The current Special Master is University of Pennsylvania Law School Professor Stephen Burbank.
