EUROPE ON NFL NETWORK IS BACK The development of future NFL stars is on display from April until June for NFL Network viewers, who can watch 20 games of the 2005 NFL Europe season. NFL Network’s primetime coverage begins Saturday, April 2 at 8:00 PM ET when the Rhein Fire travel to Amsterdam to take on the Admirals in the season opener. NFL Europe on NFL Network continues through the final week of the regular season on Sunday, June 5. Coverage of the six-team league, now in its 13th season, marks the second consecutive year live NFL Europe games will air on NFL Network. Jarrett Payton, son of NFL Hall of Famer Walter Payton, has been allocated to the Amsterdam Admirals by the Tennessee Titans, and Eric Crouch, the former Heisman Trophy winner has been allocated to the Hamburg Sea Devils by the Kansas City Chiefs and attempts to make the transition from quarterback to safety. Payton and Crouch are two among the 266 current NFL players allocated so far to NFL Europe for the 2005 season. For 12 seasons, NFL Europe has been a proving ground for many of today’s top NFL players, including Super Bowl starting quarterbacks Jake Delhomme, Brad Johnson and Kurt Warner as well as Pro Bowl players La’Roi Glover, Dante Hall, and Adam Vinatieri. Throughout NFL Europe’s 10-week regular season, NFL Network will air one live game each week plus games in prime-time every Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 PM ET. Current and former NFL players will provide game analysis, including Darren Sharper (Minnesota Vikings), Darren Woodson (former Dallas Cowboy), Lincoln Kennedy (former Oakland Raider), and Neil O’Donnell (former Titan/Steeler). In addition to live NFL Europe games, April on NFL Network features comprehensive NFL Draft coverage, the unveiling of the 2005 playing schedule and a Backstage Pass to the Paul McCartney Halftime Show. NFL Network airs seven days a week, 24 hours a day on a year-round basis and is the first television network fully dedicated to the NFL and the sport of football.
