The six draftees represent a diverse collection of talent. There is a pair of California quarterbacks – AARON RODGERS and ALEX SMITH; a duo of powerful running backs – CEDRIC BENSON and RONNIE BROWN; a game-breaking wide receiver in BRAYLON EDWARDS; and a player who earns his keep by preventing those game-breakers from doing their thing – Miami cornerback ANTREL ROLLE.

These six players will enjoy several uniquely New York experiences as they are welcomed into the NFL.

On Friday, the group will be up bright and early with appearances on a pair of national morning TV shows -- The Early Show on CBS followed by Cold Pizza on ESPN2. Up next is a visit to NFL headquarters for interviews with NFL Network and to meet Commissioner Tagliabue and members of his staff who played in the NFL, including ART SHELL, MIKE HAYNES, GENE WASHINGTON and MERTON HANKS.

The players will meet the media at the NFL Draft Luncheon at the Chelsea Piers Sports Complex located on the Hudson River with the Statue of Liberty visible in the distance.

The group then moves on to one of the world’s most famous structures, the Empire State Building, for an up-high look at the city where their NFL dreams will be realized on Saturday afternoon.

After that, the players will visit Ground Zero in lower Manhattan and follow with a tour of St. Paul’s Chapel to see its exhibits in memory of 9/11.

The group will then unwind at a private reception with their families in New York’s famous Times Square.

"I was just trying to get in position to be a first-round pick and to be one of the names called early in the draft," says Brown. "To be at this point is very exciting and definitely a blessing. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do."
