FOR USE AS DESIRED NFL MINICAMP DATES ANNOUNCED Optimism blended with freshly-mowed practice fields, shiny new helmets and the sound of a young quarterback’s cadence means one thing: NFL minicamps are here. “The rookies walk in the door and they’re reminded of the realization of their dream come true,” says Tennessee Titans head coach JEFF FISHER. “They are getting an opportunity they dreamed about, and that is to compete for a spot on an NFL club.” Twenty-six of the NFL’s 32 teams conduct minicamps this weekend. The first day of minicamp “is one of the more exciting days of the offseason,” says Fisher. “It no longer matters whether or not you were drafted. Draft status has nothing to do with anything from this point on. They all have an opportunity to compete.” The NFL minicamp schedule: 2005 NFL MINICAMP SCHEDULE (All camps include rookies and veterans unless otherwise noted) ARIZONA April 29-May 1 ATLANTA April 29-May 1 BALTIMORE April 29-May 1 (rookies); June 13-15 BUFFALO April 29-May 1 CAROLINA April 29-May 1 CHICAGO April 29-May 1 (rookies); May 20-22 CINCINNATI April 29-May 1 (rookies); June 17-19 CLEVELAND April 29-May 1 (rookies); June 13-15 DALLAS April 29-May 1 (rookies); May 27-29 DENVER July 6-8 DETROIT April 29-May 1 GREEN BAY April 29-May 1 HOUSTON April 29-May 1 (rookies); June 13-15 INDIANAPOLIS April 29-May 1 (rookies); May 20-22 JACKSONVILLE April 29-May 1 KANSAS CITY April 29-May 1 (rookies); June 17-19 MIAMI April 29-May 1 (rookies); June 10-12 MINNESOTA April 30-May 2 NEW ENGLAND April 29-May 1 (rookies); June 9-11 NEW ORLEANS May 6-8 (rookies); June 10-12 NEW YORK GIANTS May 6-8 (rookies); June 1-3 NEW YORK JETS April 29-May 1 OAKLAND April 29-May 1 PHILADELPHIA April 29-May 1 PITTSBURGH May 6-8 ST.
