WARNER PITCHES PERFECT GAME

St. Louis Rams quarterback KURT WARNER completed 17 of 21 passes (81.0 percent) for 310 yards, three touchdowns, with no interceptions for a passer rating of 158.3 in their 38-10 victory over the Bengals in Cincinnati on Sunday.

A passer rating of 158.3 is the highest rating a passer can achieve.   Four categories are used as a basis for compiling a rating:  percentage of completions per attempt, average yards gained per attempt, percentage of touchdown passes per attempt, percentage of interceptions per attempt.

The last time an NFL quarterback achieved a 158.3 rating with at least 20 attempts was Cincinnati's JEFF BLAKE, who completed 18 of 22 passes for 275 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs in a 27-9 win at  Pittsburgh on October 19, 1995.
