As the NFL approaches the mid-point of its 1999 season this weekend, average paid attendance is running ahead of last years record-setting figure.
The average paid attendance for the 114 games played through eight weeks of the season is 65,154, an increase of 1,134 over last years all-time season record of 64,020 per game.
Total paid attendance through eight weeks is 7,427,594, compared to 6,749,640 at this point last year.
