9/24/99
Thirteen of 14 NFL games this weekend sold out in advance of the blackout deadline and will be televised locally.
The only game blacked out will be the Chicago Bears at Oakland Raiders.
Through the first three weeks of the season, 91 percent of local blackouts have been lifted (40 of 44 games).
Last year, an all-time season record of 75 percent of local blackouts were lifted (181 of 240 games). The current NFL blackout policy began in 1973. Prior to 1973, all NFL games were blacked out in the home television market.
