NFL STATEMENT ON LEON LETT:

Commissioner Tagliabue informed Cowboys defensive tackle Leon Lett today that he will remain suspended without pay for violating the NFL Substance Abuse Policy through the Cowboys’ eighth game on November 8.

Lett is eligible to be reinstated on Tuesday, November 9 if he continues to comply with his treatment plan. Lett also was notified that any further violation of the Substance Abuse Policy would result in a suspension of at least one year.
