1999 NFL PRESEASON INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM STATISTICAL LEADERS
NFL preseason statistical leaders were tracked in 1999 by the Elias Sports Bureau, official statisticians of the NFL.
With the preseason schedule concluding this past weekend, listed below are the final preseason leaders in the American and National Football Conferences. St. Louis running back JUSTIN WATSON, who played for the Berlin Thunder of the NFL Europe League this spring, was the NFL preseason rushing leader (208 yards). Wide receiver DAVID PATTEN of the New York Giants led the league in receiving yards (270). The leading passer was quarterback MARK BRUNELL of the Jacksonville Jaguars with a rating of 131.0.
The Denver Broncos finished the 99 preseason with the top-ranked offense, averaging 372.0 yards per game. The Philadelphia Eagles led the league in defense with a 223.3 yards-per-game average.
