QBs MANNING & WARNER TOP PRO BOWL ONLINE BALLOTING

Quarterbacks PEYTON MANNING of the Indianapolis Colts and KURT WARNER of the St. Louis Rams – who have led their teams to surprising 6-2 records – top the early fan online balloting for the 50th Pro Bowl this February.

The Colts and Rams hold the top four spots in the balloting. Joining Manning and Warner, in first and second place, respectively, are Rams running back MARSHALL FAULK in third place, and Colts rookie running back EDGERRIN JAMES in fourth place.

Warner has thrown for the most touchdowns in the NFL this season, 24, and Manning is tied with Washington’s BRAD JOHNSON – ninth in Pro Bowl balloting – for the second-most TD tosses with 15.

Last year, the Colts and Rams combined for only seven wins.

The Pro Bowl fan vote, which began last week, is conducted in part through NFL.com, the league’s official Web site. Voting closes December 7 and counts one-third in selecting players for the 50th Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 6.

Players and coaches will cast their ballots on December 20-21.

The top rookie vote-getters are Washington cornerback CHAMP BAILEY in the NFC and Tennessee defensive end JEVON KEARSE in the AFC.
