ROSS FINED $10,000 FOR VIOLATING LEAGUE POLICY
Detroit Lions head coach Bobby Ross has been fined $10,000 for violating NFL policy on public criticism of officiating, the NFL announced today.
Ross publicly criticized the officiating following Detroits loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on September 26.
Commissioner Paul Tagliabue notified Ross by letter today that his comments were inappropriate and a clear violation of NFL policy, which states that criticism of officiating be communicated directly and privately to the NFL.
