STEELERS’ ROOKIE BROWN MATCHES NFL FIELD-GOAL MARK

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie kicker KRIS BROWN converted his 11th consecutive field goal last night to match the NFL record for most consecutive field goals at the start of a career. RICH KARLIS and DAVID TREADWELL, both with the Denver Broncos, also connected on 11 in a row to start their respective careers in 1982 and 1989.

Rookie kicker MARTIN GRAMATICA of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers converted his first 10 field goals before missing a 43-yarder on Sunday. The top five all-time in most consecutive field goals at the start of a career:
