WEEK 5 SETS RECORD FOR THREE-POINT GAMES
Ten of 14 games in Week 5 71 percent -- were decided by three points or less, the most ever in an NFL weekend.
The previous record for three-point games in a weekend was eight, on November 8-9, 1981 (8 of 14, 57 percent), and November 15-16, 1992 (8 of 14, 57 percent).
Thirty-eight percent (27 of 72) of games so far this season have been decided by three points or less. The season record for three-point games was set in 1997 when 27.9 percent (67 of 240) were decided by that margin.
