ANDERSON BECOMES NFL'S ALL-TIME
SCORING LEADER

Minnesota Vikings kicker GARY ANDERSON scored 11 points versus the Buffalo Bills today at the
Metrodome to break GEORGE BLANDA’s all-time NFL scoring record of 2,002 points, which stood since 1975.

The record-breaking points came on a 21-yard field goal with 1:07 remaining in the fourth quarter. He also kicked two other field goals (38 & 20 yards) as well as two extra points.

Anderson, in his 19th season, has scored 2,004 career points. Blanda accumulated his point total over 26 seasons, an NFL record for most seasons played.
