WHAT A RUSH!
BENGALS’ COREY DILLON BREAKS PAYTON’S RECORD

CINCINNATI – In Cincinnati’s 31-21 win over the Denver Broncos today, Bengals running back COREY DILLON rushed for 278 yards to break all-time rushing leader WALTER PAYTON’s 23-year old NFL record for rushing yards in a game. Payton rushed for 275 yards against the Minnesota Vikings on November 20, 1977.

Dillon, who had 22 carries and two touchdowns in the game, also holds the NFL rookie record for rushing yards in a game. He rushed for 246 yards against Tennessee on December 4, 1997, breaking Pro Football Hall of Famer JIM BROWN’s 1950 rookie mark (237 yards on November 24 against the Los Angeles Rams).
