COLTS MANNING JOINS NCAA CIRCLE OF CHAMPIONS

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Colts quarterback PEYTON MANNING has been named one of six charter members of the NCAA’s Circle of Champions, the NCAA announced today.

The Circle of Champions was developed in collaboration with the NCAA Foundation to provide an opportunity for corporations and private donors to aid students. Its members will sponsor ticket "scholarships" for schools and community-based organizations to send students on educational field trips to the NCAA Hall of Champions, a 25,000-square foot facility which celebrates the history of the NCAA’s student-athletes.

The other Circle of Champions charter members are NCAA Chief Operating Officer DANIEL BOGGAN, JR., the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, and three private companies.

Earlier this month, Manning began an eight-year term as a member of the NCAA Foundation Board of Directors. He is the only active athlete ever to serve on this board.
