ANNOUNCE FAR-REACHING COMMERCE PARTNERSHIP
Home Shopping Network Named Exclusive Shopping Network of the NFL
ST. PETERSBURG, FL, and NEW YORK, NY - April 17, 2000 - The National Football League (NFL) and USA Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: USAI) announced today a far-reaching commerce partnership signed by USAs Electronic Commerce and Services, leveraging the diverse media and e-commerce assets of the Company. The three-year integrated multi-channel commerce and marketing partnership names Home Shopping Network (HSN) as the exclusive TV shopping network for the NFL, creating online and off-line commerce, live remote programming from NFL venues, integrated media support and local event promotional tie-ins around the NFL pre-season, regular season and post-season games. Additionally, ECS Short Shopping will produce contextual commerce programs and specials for NFL programming.
Starting with the new season, HSN will broadcast a live one-hour show titled NFL Shop on Monday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET, preceding each NFL Monday night game. This live programming will originate from tailgate parties created for fans at the home stadiums. Shows will feature exclusive, officially licensed merchandise and, NFL player guest appearances.

To complement the new NFL programming, ECS will deliver integrated media marketing, database-driven initiatives and promotional solutions geared towards meeting the needs of NFL fans. ECS Teleservices, aggregating the expertise of Ticketmaster, HSN and Precision Response Corporation will cater to the customer service and support needs of NFL fans while ECS Database Marketing, together with the NFL, will develop the ultimate football fan database for use in e-commerce marketing activities.

USAis online properties taking part in this effort include Ticketmaster.com, HSN.com, and CitySearch.com in addition to the NFL Shop at NFL.com.
