DONAHOE NAMED BILLS PRESIDENT/GENERAL MANAGER
Orchard Park, NY- Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. today named Tom Donahoe as team President/General Manager.
Wilson said, "I have been aware of Tom's outstanding reputation for a long time. In my discussions with him over the past two weeks I feel he is the most qualified man to oversee the Bills football operations."
Donahoe becomes the eighth general manager in Bills history.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Donahoe earned his strong reputation in the area of personnel as the Steelers Director of Football Operations from 1992-1999, having joined the club in 1986. During those seasons, the Steelers reached the playoffs seven times, played in the AFC Championship game three times and represented the AFC in Super Bowl XXX.
Donahoe served as a football analyst for ESPN this past season.
MEDIA ADVISORY: The Bills will have a press conference to introduce Tom Donahoe on Friday, January 12, tentatively scheduled for 2:00 pm., in the media room of the Bills Training Center.
