JACKSON BROTHERS MAKE NFL HISTORY

For the first time in the modern NFL, and the first time in 75 years, a pair of brothers scored touchdowns in the same game this past Sunday.

The honor belongs to Willie and Terry Jackson, who both scored touchdowns in the New Orleans Saints’ 31-15 win over the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday at the Louisiana Superdome.

The Saints’ Willie scored his first touchdown as a member of the club on a four-yard reception in the second quarter. His brother Terry, who plays for the 49ers, scored his first career touchdown on an 11-yard reception in the fourth quarter.

The last time a pair of brothers scored a touchdown in the same game was on November 30, 1924 when Dutch and Joey Sternaman of the Chicago Bears scored in a 31-14 victory over the Milwaukee Badgers. Edward Carl "Dutch" Sternaman was a player-coach for the Bears.
