TITANS QB STEVE MC NAIR, DOLPHINS C TIM RUDDY & CHIEFS G WILL SHIELDS ADDED TO PRO BOWL ROSTERS

New York, NY, January 10 – Tennessee Titans quarterback STEVE MC NAIR, Miami Dolphins center TIM RUDDY and Kansas City Chiefs guard WILL SHIELDS have been added to the AFC roster today for the 2001 AFC-NFC Pro Bowl.

The Pro Bowl, featuring NFL All-Stars from the American and National Football Conferences, will be played on Sunday, February 4 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. ABC-TV will televise the game live at 5:30 PM ET.

McNair replaces Denver quarterback BRIAN GRIESE, who will miss the game due to shoulder surgery. Ruddy will replace Denver center TOM NALEN (hernia surgery) and Shields replaces Tennessee guard BRUCE MATTHEWS (elbow surgery).

McNair will make his first Pro Bowl appearance. He led the Titans to a 13-3 record this season, best in the NFL, and passed for 2,847 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Ruddy is also a first-time Pro Bowler. He started all 16 games at center for the AFC East champions this season.

Shields will make his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance. He started every game for the Chiefs in 2000.
