SportsLine.com and the National Football League Expand Relationship

SportsLine.com to produce Superbowl.com and the NFL’s first fantasy games

NEW YORK and FORT LAUDERDALE (July 31, 2000) – SportsLine.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLN), the leading global Internet sports media company and publisher of CBS SportsLine.com (cbs.sportsline.com), and the National Football League announced today they have entered into an expanded relationship for SportsLine.com to produce Superbowl.com, and be the exclusive provider of the official fantasy football products for the NFL. The agreement is for the 2000 season, including Super Bowl XXXV, which will be played in Tampa, Florida on January 28, 2001 and televised by CBS Sports.

Superbowl.com is expected to launch in September, the earliest it has ever launched. During the regular season, it will include a deep, historical perspective on each of the previous 34 Super Bowls complete with interviews, anecdotes, team and player profiles and a variety of multimedia features including video and audio highlights.

The NFL’s fantasy football products, offered free to fans, will be produced and branded for NFL.com and be available on the league’s official Web site. Products will include SportsLine.com’s suite of Commissioner.com fantasy products, including the fantasy league management service, league-style games and challenge games. Exclusive columns and player information from NFL.com will supplement the fantasy products. NFL.com fantasy will offer unique and valuable experiences as prizes, including such items as scoreboard recognition at Super Bowl XXXV. Fantasy football will launch in early August on NFL.com. This will be the first opportunity for fantasy football players to participate in fantasy games on the NFL’s official site.

"We’re extremely proud that the NFL has chosen SportsLine.com to produce Superbowl.com and our Commissioner.com products to initiate fantasy football games on NFL.com," said Michael Levy, founder, president and CEO of SportsLine.com, Inc. "SportsLine.com’s talented and experienced production, technology and writing teams, will take Superbowl.com to a whole new level, and our partnership with CBS Sports will provide tremendous promotion for the site throughout the season. As for fantasy, the football games are more popular than ever and now NFL.com users can take advantage of the quality user-friendly, customizable features and flexibility that distinguish our Internet-leading Commissioner.com products from other on-line fantasy games."

"Our top goal for the 2000 season is to ensure that the new NFL Internet network offers fans more excitement, service and football coverage than ever before," said Chris Russo, the NFL’s senior vice president of new media. "This new relationship with SportsLine.com helps us reach this goal by providing our first-ever fantasy games and launching Superbowl.com with expanded coverage of sports biggest game."

SportsLine.com’s Commissioner.com fantasy league management service and league-style games feature live scoring, statistic-supported rich content and standings, customized rules and scoring, automated or live drafts and interactivity. The challenge games are a fun and easy way for beginners or those looking to save time to play fantasy games with many of the same features as the league management service and games. SportsLine.com’s Commissioner.com products also serve as the official fantasy games for MajorLeagueBaseball.com, jointly produced and published by SportsLine.com.

For the past two years, SportsLine.com and the NFL have co-produced NFLEurope.com, the official Web site of the NFL Europe League.
