Fresh off his heroics in Super Bowl XXXV, TRENT DILFER of the Baltimore Ravens hits the gridiron again to test his skills against some of the top NFL quarterbacks in the DIRECTV PRESENTS THE NFL QUARTERBACK CHALLENGE Thursday at Vidinha Stadium in Kaua’i, Hawaii.

The event is open to the public. Admission is free.

Competing in the series of exciting head-to-head skills competitions are:

TRENT DILFER, BALTIMORE RAVENS

JEFF GARCIA, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

ROB JOHNSON, BUFFALO BILLS

PEYTON MANNING, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

DONOVAN McNABB, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

JAKE PLUMMER, ARIZONA CARDINALS

The quarterbacks will participate in events such as speed and mobility, accuracy, long distance and read and recognition.

In addition to battling for bragging rights, the quarterbacks are competing for $125,000 in prize money.

In a first for the NFL Quarterback Challenge, former NFL quarterbacks will participate in the DIRECTV MILLION DOLLAR THROW. The star-studded list of players, who will attempt to throw a perfect pass from 30 yards for $1 million (half will go to the player, half to his favorite charity), features:

NFL Films will tape the event and CBS Sports will broadcast it as two, one-hour specials in late July. CBS Sports’ top broadcasting team of GREG GUMBEL and PHIL SIMMS, a founding member of the NFL Quarterback Club, will be on site to call the action.
