WAS IT A FULL MOON?

The NFL has seen some rare – no, make that never-before – events transpire on the field in the past few days.

Last Sunday (10/15), the opening kickoff in the Falcons-Rams game was returned for a touchdown -- as was the succeeding kickoff. It was the first time in the 81-year history of the NFL that a game opened with back-to-back kickoff-return touchdowns.

Then last night in the ESPN nationally-televised game won by Detroit over Tampa Bay 28-14, the halftime score was 11-11. That was the first such score at halftime in – guess what? – the 81-year history of the NFL.

The Lions’ 11 points came from a field goal and touchdown with a two-point conversion, and the Bucs’ from three field goals and a safety.

The "81-year history of the NFL" comprises more than 10,700 games

What’s next? Well, it is the 60th anniversary of the Bears’ 73-0 NFL championship game win over the Redskins – so you never know!
