BON JOVI, LIONEL RICHIE AND MARY J. BLIGE

TO PERFORM “AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL”

AS PART OF SUNDAY’S NFL GAMES

 

Boys Choir of Harlem, New York Firemen and Policemen To Participate

 

National recording artists BON JOVI, LIONEL RICHIE and MARY J. BLIGE will be among the performers of “America the Beautiful” at the beginning of NFL games Sunday afternoon, the NFL announced today.  In addition, the world-renowned BOYS CHOIR OF HARLEM and members of the NEW YORK FIRE and POLICE DEPARTMENTS will also sing. 

 

The performances will air at the beginning of the 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. telecasts on CBS and FOX and in the stadiums.  Additional artists will perform for the Sunday night game on ESPN and “Monday Night Football” on ABC.  Local and national recording artists will also perform the “Star Spangled Banner” in the stadiums.

 

Richie and Blige will team for “America the Beautiful” along with the Boys Choir of Harlem from a New York location for one of the time slots.  The other telecast will feature Bon Jovi with members of the New York Police and Fire departments from a Manhattan fire station.
