DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEDCommissioner PAUL TAGLIABUE announced today the schedule of sites, dates and times for the National Football League Divisional Playoffs of January 19-20 (all times Eastern):Chicago (4:30 PM ET) and New England (8:00 PM ET) will host games on Saturday, and Pittsburgh (12:30 PM ET) and St. Louis (4:00 PM ET) host games on Sunday. In the Divisional Playoffs, the division champion with the best record in each conference is host to the surviving Wild Card team with the lowest playoff ranking. The division champion with the second-best record in each conference is host to either the division champion with the third-best record or the surviving Wild Card team with the highest playoff ranking. There are no restrictions on intradivision games. As previously announced, Wild Card Weekend is this Saturday (1/12) and Sunday (1/13). The schedule: NFL WILD CARD WEEKENDSaturday, January 12

Once teams are ranked for the playoffs, positions do not change:
The AFC and NFC Championship Games will be played on Sunday, January 27. Super Bowl XXXVI will be played at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, February 3. Game-time is 6:00 PM ET. The annual AFC-NFC Pro Bowl will be played in Honolulu, Hawaii on Saturday, February 9. Game-time is 4:30 PM ET. All NFL playoff games also are broadcast on Westwood One/CBS Radio. |
