2001 NFL PRESEASON INDIVIDUAL & TEAM STATISTICAL LEADERS

 

NFL preseason statistical leaders were tracked in 2001 by the Elias Sports Bureau, official statisticians of the NFL.

 

Listed below are the final preseason leaders in the American and National Football Conferences.  Denver Broncos running back MIKE ANDERSON was the NFL preseason rushing leader (223 yards).  Wide receiver RANDY MOSS of the Minnesota Vikings led the league in receiving yards (296).  The leading passer was Denver quarterback BRIAN GRIESE with a 124.8 rating.

 

The Cincinnati Bengals finished the 2001 preseason with the top-ranked offense, averaging 394.8 yards per game.  The Kansas City Chiefs led the league in defense with a 185.0 yards-per-game average.
