AN NFL SPOKESPERSON:
R. Jay Soward of the Jacksonville Jaguars has been notified
that he is suspended for the team’s next six regular-season games (games
five through 10) of the 2001 season for violating the NFL Substance Abuse
Policy.
Soward also was suspended under the Substance Abuse Policy
for the first four regular-season games of the 2001 season.
Soward is eligible to return to the team on Monday, November
26, following the Jaguars’ 10th regular-season game (against Baltimore).
