NFL & REFEREES DONATE $375,000 TO DISASTER RELIEF

The National Football League Referees Association and the NFL recently made a joint donation of $375,000 to the World Trade Center Memorial Fund of the New York-New Jersey Port Authority.

The $375,000 donation will help provide financial assistance to the World Trade Center victims and their families.

“On behalf of the Port Authority staff, I would like to express our profound gratitude to the NFL Referees Association and the NFL owners for their heartfelt generosity,” said Port Authority Chairman LEWIS M. EISENBERG.  “This fund is helping to ease the burdens on the survivors of the World Trade Center attacks, both those from the Port Authority and the thousands of others who perished in this unspeakable act of violence.”

The NFL Referees Association is headed by Executive Director BILL CAROLLO.  Other officers are ED HOCHULI, president; BEN MONTGOMERY, vice president; JIM QUIRK, secretary; and MARK BALTZ, treasurer.  The association is comprised of the 119 NFL game officials.
