OUTERSTUFF LTD. SIGNS KIDS APPAREL AGREEMENT WITH THE NFL

Outerstuff, Ltd. and the National Football League announced an extension in their seven-year-long relationship, which will take effect in 2002, to become the exclusive supplier of NFL children's outerwear for sizes 4-20 in mid-tier and mass merchant distribution channels.

“We are pleased to extend our partnership with an outstanding children’s apparel industry leader,” said Roger Goodell, NFL Executive Vice President of Business, Properties and Club Services. “Outerstuff’s ability to create high-quality goods for young NFL fans further strengthens our business.”

“We are proud of the unique position that this agreement has placed Outerstuff within the NFL’s new and innovative business model,” said Outerstuff President Sol Werdiger. “We are especially thankful for the NFL’s confidence in us.”

In a separate agreement between Outerstuff and Reebok International, Outerstuff will manufacture a comprehensive NFL children's apparel line for Reebok in sizes 0-20, including replica jerseys, imprintables, outerwear, knits & a full line of juvenile products. All product will feature the Reebok label, and will be available only to upstairs distribution channels. Outerstuff also will manufacture a complete line of NFL children's jerseys in the mid-tier and mass merchant distribution channels, with the mid-tier jerseys also featuring the Reebok label.

According to the 2000 ESPN Kids Sports Poll, more than 40 percent of American children aged 7-11 own NFL apparel while no other league apparel is owned by more than 28 percent of America’s kids. In addition, when the poll asked youngsters to name their favorite sports team, 40 percent of kids voiced an NFL club, nearly doubling the next-most represented league.

Outerstuff Ltd. is a leading children’s apparel company. Outerstuff has licensing agreement with all major team sports leagues and more than 100 college teams.
