PHILADELPHIA & PITTSBURGH PLAYERS NAMEDFOR HOUSTON EXPANSION DRAFT
Five qualified veteran players each from the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers have been named for the Houston Texans’ expansion draft on February 18, the National Football League announced today. On January 25, 27 clubs submitted their lists of players available for the draft. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, the two conference championship-game runners-up, were required to submit their list of players today. The two Super Bowl XXXVI teams, the New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams, will submit their players on February 5. The players made available by Philadelphia and Pittsburgh:
Also today, the San Francisco 49ers identified defensive back John Keith as their fifth veteran player available to Houston. Keith passed a physical examination and was added to the 49ers’ list.
