CULMINATES IN SCRIMMAGE
NASHVILLE, TENN. - The Tennessee Titans announced today that they would practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Aug. 2-4 in Nashville. The teams will hold morning and afternoon workouts at Baptist Sports Park on both Thursday, Aug. 2 and Friday, Aug. 3. The teams will face each other in a scrimmage at Adelphia Coliseum on Saturday, Aug. 4 starting at 10:30 am.
Tickets for the Aug. 4 scrimmage will go on sale to the general public on Monday, July 9 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster and at the Adelphia Coliseum Ticket Office. Titans’ season ticket holders have an option to purchase their same season ticket seats for the scrimmage tickets by June 22, before remaining tickets are released to the general public. Tickets will cost $10 with a portion of the proceeds going to the Titans Foundation. The accessibility to the Thursday and Friday practices for fans will be determined at a later date.
Tennessee and Indianapolis will be paired in the new AFC South division in 2002 and these workouts will mark the first meeting between the two teams since the Titans defeated the Colts, 19-16, in the 1999 AFC Divisional Playoff Game in Indianapolis. The Colts feature Pro Bowl talents RB Edgerrin James, WR Marvin Harrison, and QB Peyton Manning, who will be making his first football appearance in Tennessee since graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1998.
Remaining tickets for the Titans preseason and regular season games will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, July 14.
